Miriam brings the history of each neighborhood alive with the stories of the people who lived in the stone buildings of Jerusalem that we see today. Her descriptions are so vivid that I can picture the men and women that she is describing. Miriam’s tours unlock the secret stories of Jerusalem from a bygone age. They are immensely enjoyable and informative. I spent six months in Jerusalem on sabbatical and was so glad that I found Miriam’s tours. I went on 15 of them and enjoyed them immensely. They were the highlight of my stay in Jerusalem.

My wife and I took Miriam’s Jewish Quarter tour today. Miriam is an exceptional, knowledgeable, patient guide who devotes “just enough” time to the topics at hand, yet has the in depth knowledge to expound at length when asked. I highly recommend her tours.

I spent two months last winter in Jerusalem and took one of your walking tours, of Talbieh. It was great. I rented a place in Talbieh and your tour really explained the neighborhood I was living in.

I thoroughly enjoyed your tour on Friday, and was impressed both by your knowledge as well as by your most pleasant way of passing it on to us. You have a special way of making the buildings “live and personal”. And I thank you for your patience in answering all my questions. You put a lot of work and thinking into your presentations, and it shows – and is very much appreciated.

We enjoyed your excellent tour. It was well researched and full of interesting anecdotes and observations.

Just to tell you how very much we enjoyed today’s tour. Your personal ‘take’ on the University campus was most enlightening, and as usual the intense and detailed commentary you provide makes for an enjoyable learning experience.

Last week my husband and I spent the day in Jerusalem with overseas guests. Their first time in Israel, they had only one day to tour Jerusalem. We started with a Segway tour (Armon Hanatzvi Promenade) and then met Miriam Safira Simon Zarovsky for a 2 hour walking-tour of the Old City (Jewish Quarter). To say Miriam was FANTASTIC is an understatement! She shared with us her extensive knowledge in such a ‘user-friendly’, animated, enlightening way. Such a fun, friendly guide who knows her stuff! She also came with great visual material that added to our touring experience. Miriam Safira Simon Jerusalem Walking Tours was able to fit in so much in the short time we had (on a very rainy day). Not only did my guests learn a lot, they thoroughly enjoyed the time spent with Miriam, saying the 2 hours touring with her was a highlight of their trip.
My husband (sabra) & I (living in Israel 17 years, originally from America, having been on Ramah & USY Israel programs with lots of Jerusalem touring) equally enjoyed being with Miriam. We also learned loads, really enjoying touring with her. We are definitely looking forward to more of her tours. Really, I can’t recommend Miriam highly enough! I am passing her name onto all of my friends, and when I have overseas visitors in the future, a tour with Miriam is 100% on the agenda. Thank you Miriam!

I just wanted to register in print, as it were, our pleasure with our tour through Nahlaot and with our thorough and knowledgeable cicerone. It
was one of the highlights of our ‘tween-semesters, four-day break in Jerusalem. Keep sending us updates, and we look forward to touring with you in the future.

I was so honored to be part of such a special group with such an amazing tour guide. You can feel your passion and love for what you do and for Israel and its unbelievable history. You do your country and people proud!

Miriam’s tours are informative and thought provoking. Her in-depth knowledge of the neighborhoods she tours and the historical narratives she conveys are unique and add greatly to one’s ability to imagine what these neighborhoods and the people were like in years gone by.
